Music Together® is a music and movement approach to early childhood music development for babies, toddlers, preschoolers, kindergarteners, and the grownups who love them.
Music Together® classes are based on the recognition that all children are musical and have the same innate ability to learn music as to walk or talk.
All children can learn to sing in tune, keep a beat, and participate with confidence in the music of our culture, provided that their early environment supports such learning. The goal of Music Together® is to help children reach basic music competence, which the Music Together® program defiens as the ability to sing in tune and keep a beat. |
What are Music Together® classes like?
Up to twelve children and their parents meet weekly for 45 minutes during a ten-week semester. Classes include an artistically conceived flow of songs, nursery rhymes, instrumental jam sessions, fingerplays, and movement activities. We will experience music, rather then learn concepts or facts about it. You and your children will enjoy making music in an informal environment which is completely free from performance pressure
